17 August - All paediatric antivirals to be dispensed from public hospital EDs
Relenza and paediatric Tamiflu cannot be accessed through community pharmacies. GPs are advised to fill out a normal script and refer patients to their closest public hospital emergency department to collect their medication. Note: Relenza may have to be ordered from Queensland Health's Central Pharmacy as not all hospitals have stock. Advise patients to contact their local hospital prior to presenting. Patient flyer regarding collection of medication.
