17 August - All paediatric antivirals to be dispensed from public hospital EDs
Relenza and paediatric Tamiflu cannot be accessed through community pharmacies. GPs are advised to fill out a normal script and refer patients to their closest public hospital emergency department to collect their medication. Note: Relenza may have to be ordered from Queensland Health's Central Pharmacy as not all hospitals have stock. Advise patients to contact their local hospital prior to presenting.
